EcoArmor Pest Defense treats homes across Celina, Texas, from our office at 279 Highview Ln in Anna. Celina is the fastest-moving place we work by a wide margin, and that is the single most useful thing to know about pest pressure here. Family-owned, veteran-owned, licensed by the Texas Department of Agriculture, and running our own technicians rather than subcontracting to a regional partner.
What Makes Pest Pressure in Celina Different
Fourfold growth in five years, and it is not finished
Celina went from 16,739 residents at the 2020 census to an estimated 64,427 by 2025, and was ranked the fastest-growing city in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex three years running. Its planned buildout is somewhere near 378,000. That means active earthmoving somewhere in town, continuously, for years to come — and every new section displaces the fire ants, field mice and crickets living on that ground into the finished houses next door. In Celina this is not a one-off event; it is the standing condition.
A small old Square in the middle of it
The Historic Downtown Square has been the heart of Celina for more than a hundred and ten years and has been a designated Main Street City since 1996. The handful of genuinely old buildings around it — shared walls, original sewer runs, deep voids — behave nothing like the subdivisions surrounding them. It is a small area, but if your property is in it, the job is a different one.
The town literally moved to meet the railway
Celina was established in 1879 and named by John T. Mulkey after his home town of Celina, Tennessee. In 1902 the whole town relocated a mile north to meet the St. Louis, San Francisco and Texas Railway. That is the reason the old core is compact and everything around it is comparatively recent — there was never a long, slow century of infill here the way there was in McKinney.
Between Preston Road and the tollway
Celina sits between Preston Road to the east and the future Dallas North Tollway to the west, and the corridor build-out is what is driving the growth. Properties near either alignment sit against disturbed ground, new drainage and construction traffic, all of which move pests around.

Why Celina Homeowners Choose EcoArmor
- We plan around the construction, not despite it. Which sections are being built, and how close they are to you, changes the interval. That is the main variable here and we treat it as one.
- Owner-run. Three brothers run EcoArmor. The person who answers the phone can make a decision about your account.
- One team, whole property. Pest, termite, mosquito, rodent, exclusion and insulation under one plan and one technician who learns your house.
Celina Pest Control Questions
Is EcoArmor based in Celina?
No — our office is at 279 Highview Ln in Anna, and we would rather say so plainly. Celina is a service area we drive to. If you want a company with a storefront on the Square, we are not it. What we offer is an owner-run local outfit that understands what constant construction does to a neighbourhood.
Why do I have more pests than at my last house?
Almost certainly because something near you was recently built on. New construction displaces whatever lived on that ground into the nearest structure, and a first-year slab in Blackland clay has not finished settling, so entry gaps are still opening. In Celina that keeps happening as each new section goes in.
The section behind us is still being built. Will it get better?
Usually yes, once that ground settles and the landscaping goes in — but in Celina another section often starts nearby, so we would rather set a realistic interval than promise it will resolve on its own.
